Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026
Gatheraro lets communities (called Spaces) publish events and lets people find and register for them. Be 18 or older, be honest, and do not post anything unlawful or harmful. Organisers run their own events and must treat attendees' details with care.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, or by using Gatheraro, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. Gatheraro is run by Gatheraro, (to be added). If you do not agree, do not use it. You must be 18 or older. If you use Gatheraro for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.
2. What Gatheraro is, and is not
Gatheraro is a platform. Events, Spaces and the details in them are created by organisers and other users, not by us. We are an intermediary: we host and show what users post, and we do not organise the events, vouch for them, or become a party to anything between an organiser and an attendee. The verified tick means we looked at the proof an organiser gave us that they run the organisation they named. It is not an endorsement of any event.
Gatheraro does not take payments or hold money. If an event has a price, you pay the organiser directly and the organiser records it.
3. Your account
- Give your real name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not pretend to be someone else or claim a Space you do not run.
- Tell us if you think your account has been used by someone else.
4. What you post
You own what you post (events, descriptions, pictures, answers). You allow us to store it, show it to the people it is meant for, and make small technical changes such as resizing a picture, only so that Gatheraro can work. You promise you have the right to post it.
You must not post, upload or share anything that:
- belongs to someone else (for example a picture or text you copied) without their permission, or infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark or other right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person’s privacy (including their personal details), or harms children in any way;
- is defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence or discrimination;
- pretends to be another person or organisation, or deceives people about who is behind an event or what it offers;
- contains false or misleading information, or a scam, or spam;
- carries software that damages or takes over other systems, or tries to break or overload Gatheraro;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, or is otherwise against any law in force.
We remind you of these rules at least once a year, for example by asking you to accept the terms again, and whenever they change.
5. If you run a Space or an event
- Describe your event honestly: what it is, when, where, the price, and who is behind it.
- The questions on your registration form should ask only for what the event needs. Do not ask for government ID numbers, health, financial or other sensitive details unless the event truly needs them and the law allows it.
- The details attendees give you are yours to look after. Use them only to run that event and to tell attendees about it. Do not sell them, pass them to others or use them for something the attendee was not told about. Delete them when you no longer need them, and help attendees who ask to see, correct or erase their details.
- You are responsible for the people you add to your team and for what they do in your Space.
- A Domain-only Space is open to people signed in with an email at the domains you list, and to your team. Choose the domains with care and keep the list current: a person whose email domain is on it can see the Space, its events and who hosts them, and can follow it and register. You cannot invite or add someone outside those domains. Do not use the list to exclude people unlawfully.
- If you ask for the verified tick, what you tell us and upload must be true. We may take the tick away if it stops being true.
6. Writing help
Where Gatheraro offers to polish text you wrote, it is a suggestion made by a language model from the notes you typed. It can be wrong. Read it and change it; what you publish is yours and is your responsibility. Do not type other people’s personal details into your notes.
7. Reporting and removal
Every public event and Space has a Report option. Reports go to our team, who may remove or hide content, remove a verified tick, or suspend an account, for example when these terms are broken, a law requires it, or a court or authority orders it. Where we can, we say why. We keep the removed content and the related records for 180 days, or longer if an authority asks us to, so that they are available to investigation.
If you are unhappy with something on Gatheraro or with a decision we made, write to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days. If you remain unhappy with our decision, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee as provided under the IT Rules, 2021.

8. Fair use
Do not scrape Gatheraro, reach into it by any means we did not offer, test its security without our written permission, or put a heavy load on it. We limit how fast things can be done, and we may block a person or program that goes past it.
9. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and erase your account from Settings (see the privacy notice for exactly what that removes). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if you misuse the service. Sections that are meant to continue (such as content you posted that others rely on, our records for the period above, and the limits below) do.
10. Our responsibility
We work to keep Gatheraro available and accurate but provide it as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We are not responsible for what organisers and other users do or post, or for an event that is changed, cancelled or does not match its description. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Gatheraro, which is nothing for the free service. Nothing here limits a right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at (to be added) have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any consumer-protection right you have to go to another forum.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. When a change matters we update the date above and ask you to accept them again next time you open Gatheraro. Using Gatheraro after that means you accept the change.
